How We Met
Kory and Kelly both majored in Theatre at Abilene Christian University. His senior year, Kory was appointed Peer Leader of the new freshman class, which included Kelly!
Kory honored his professional commitment until the last day of his tenure as Peer Leader. That evening he asked her out, and they have been together ever since.
The Proposal: August 1, 2005
Kory drove into Abilene early Monday morning and asked Kelly’s dad, Jeff, for his permission to marry her.
Then he left a note on Kelly’s car to meet him at the Elegante Suites. Several hours, text messages, gas stations and half-finished pillows later, she arrived to a room full of rose petals, white roses and candles. He asked her to marry him and she said yes!
They both called their parents and then as many friends as they could till Kelly’s cell phone ran out of batteries.
