I love my LaCie drive.
Here’s what I love about Apple: it puts excitement back in technology. How fun is it to compare identical specs on identical-looking machines from companies with bad customer service and worse hardware design? I’ve been a PC girl since color screens were invented, but those companies are only out to best each other, as we savvy modern-day consumers know. They very seldomly come out with anything that makes you say, “Wow! What??”
But when you hear a Macworld is coming up, people get anxious to find out what cool, genuinely new thing is coming out next. Maybe this feeling stems from the fact that Apple is a somewhat closed community … If you have a PC, you’re like everyone else in the world. But if you have a Mac, you’re part of a proud minority - people that define their view of self partially on the OS they use. Sort of like Linux.
I’m no expert on the Mac Cult, but I love my iPhone, and speculations on a new MacBook tablet that has iPhone-like touch display and a multi-touch keyboard are making me super happy. It’s like getting a sneak peek at your Christmas present, only you don’t feel guilty. And unlike Microsoft, Apple can be counted on to deliver.
Second batch of New Year’s photos are online, including lots of fireworks!
I also uploaded a second batch of photos from Labor Day, using a new Photoshop action set that I purchased with Christmas money. Love it!
This post is for Claire. We had king cake today and I found a baby in
my cake!
Actually they just tape the baby to the box because they’re afraid
someone will sue them. So I put the baby in my cake.

Saw this on Marla’s blog, and it cracked me up! I wish I was as cool as this girl:
