Annual sister movie: The Golden Compass
Benazir Bhutto was assassinated today. She was the first woman elected head of a Muslim state, and has been in the news a lot recently for returning to her native Pakistan.
Today is my birthday. I turn *gasp* 25! … Now I know why Kory is always complaining that he’s old. 
We had Christmas at the Kilgores’ this year. I wasn’t able to enjoy it because I had some sort of cold/flu illness, but from what I could tell from my drugged-up stupor, everyone else seemed to be having fun. We had ham and all sorts of cookies. The two nephews had more presents than they could comprehend, and Caspian enjoyed getting to wear his Petsmart bow for the fourth day straight. 
Kerry, Amanda, Kory, and I sang at the church’s Christmas Eve service (making up fully half the “choir”). That low F that I hadn’t been hitting in rehearsals - well it was super easy with the magically enhanced Sick Vocal Chords! So all in all, a good time was had.
We’re off to Abilene tomorrow, and off to get some Birthday Starbucks now!
Caspian got excited about Christmas tonight.

Tonight we celebrated the end of the semester by eating at Los Cucos - wonderful! Then we swang by the house to pick up Caspian, put on his sweater, and head out for a night of Christmas lights. It was very relaxing and I finally feel in the holiday spirit.
