Quick post tonight, since it’s late.
We went to A-town this weekend to celebrate Grandfather’s 80th birthday! Mom and Marie threw him a surprise bash, and lots of family and old friends came down. I was, of course, the official event photographer (pictures are uploading to Flickr as we speak). It was nice to see a bunch of people we never get to see, and Caspian was the hit of the afterparty. Kory and I even engaged in some basketball with my (much) younger cousins. We and Uncle Bruce, who also played, concluded that we are way out of shape.
Ok, now to bed!
Today is our first Saturday together in quite awhile, thanks to Kory’s new job! I slept in while Kory played video games; then we went to La Madeleine for lunch. After dejuner, we walked around the shopping center, getting steps racked up on my Cougar Distance Challenge pedometer and drinking Starbucks lattes. Right now Kory is putting together the grill, and I took Caspian to PetSmart for a bone and some more pee pads.
Yay weekend!
Well after much turmoil, stress, and nights and weekends at work, I (Kory) have finally found a job. It’s a regular 8-5 Monday-Friday job at a company called Medwise. It’s a diabetic supply company and I will be doing Customer Service and Inside Sales. Definitely new areas for me but it’s a real job and I’ll take it and do my best. So we’re excited that we finally get to spend nights and weekends together and are looking forward to getting back to…back to?…finally having a normal life. Wish me luck!
