Caspikor?

After viewing Eragon, we thought it would be funny if one day our palms started hurting and then we came home to find Caspian all grown up into Falkor from The Neverending Story. Thoughts?

Happy Birthday to Kelly!

Though this is actually getting posted on December 28th, we haven’t gone to bed yet so it’s still officially Kelly’s birthday today. I won’t say how old she is but most people who read this blog probably know anyway. So happy birthday! :)

In other celebratory news, happy anniversary to my parents (Keith and Sherry) (Dec. 22) and the Haseltines (Dec. 26) and happy birthday to Aunt Tricia (Dec. 23), newborn baby Travis (Dec. 25), my dad (Dec. 28) and Amanda Kilgore (Dec. 29). What is it about the month of December?

Merry Christmas!

Kelly and I would like to wish all of our blog readers a very merry Christmas. This has been an exciting year and it’s wonderful to spend our first Christmas together. I’m up here learning all of the Haseltine family traditions and enjoying the holidays in Abilene for the first time. We hope all of you are having a wonderful day and wish you all the best in the coming year. So whatever your troubles are, set them aside for today and have yourselves a merry little Christmas

Home for the Holidays

Well, we’re off to Dallas for a night to see Gram & Papa! It will be their first time meeting Caspian. Then we’re going to A-town for the holidays.

We had our Bay Christmas on Tuesday. Kory cooked, as is tradition! The menu this year was: steak rolls in the style of Naples, lemon-butter asparagus, and home-mashed garlic red potatoes. It was delicious. :) Last night we went over to Keith & Sherry’s for our Kilgore Christmas. Kerry, Amanda, and Grant were also there; we opened presents, colored in Kory’s coloring book, and listened to Christmas music. Ever since Thanksgiving, Grant lurves Caspi, so they got to play. :P

I had lunch with Marla yesterday at CPK. Fabulous. Also yesterday, Caspian went to the groomer’s and got his first grownup haircut. Kory and I spent the whole day cooking Christmas cookies for Abilene and spinach-artichoke dip for the Kilgores’.

Ok, now I’m off to pack!

Caspian’s First Grooming!

We took Caspi to PetSmart to get groomed last night. He got the Puppy Trim package, which isn’t really a haircut …

Exclusively for puppies up to five months old
The Puppy Bath, Brush & More + Trim Package includes shampoo, massage and blow dry, brushing, face, feet and tail trim; nail trimming, ear cleaning, and bow or bandanna.”

I just realized I didn’t get my bandanna!

The main difference was his face, feet, and the blowdry, which made him look like a pile of vanilla mousse. Pictures here! Also Christmas cookies!
