Kory took Caspian to get his second round of shots on Friday, and he was pronounced 2.5 pounds! He is growing so fast.
Today we went to check the mail and took Caspi with us on his very first walk! He didn’t like it much at first, both confused by the leash and scared of the outside (which he’s only ever seen from our arms). He tried to dig into the sidewalk with his nails instead of walking. One couple, whose apartment we passed, called down friendly advice from their second-story balcony. Other passersby cooed over the puppy in Spanish, as Caspian - ever friendly - tried to jump up on their pants. Children came out of the pool to stare as we walked by. We felt very popular. By the end of the walk, Caspi seemed to have gotten the hang of things, and he became quite adept at flicking the leash around his head to the side where it would cause him the least amount of trouble. I, meanwhile, did my best imitation of Cesar Millan in keeping him at my side and out of trouble. Kory lifted him up and down steps, which are still too tall for him to manage.
Update: New Caspi pics up on Flickr!
