I was able to take Friday and Monday off work this past weekend, and Kory and I drove down to Abilene with Caspian. I haven’t seen the fam since the wedding, so it was nice to see everyone again.
We showed Caspian off to everyone, including the good people at Sharky’s. All were very impressed and there are, of course, pictures. We also got to see Dad play Shem, one of Noah’s sons, in the ACT production of Richard Rodger’s Two by Two. It was awesome!
Also, Kory and I totally blew our diet on curry, hamburgers, homemade ice cream, Taco Bueno, and Little Panda. Yay! Only now we’re having trouble getting back on … Jessica, Claire, and I spent the majority of Sunday up at the station recording numerous Harry Potter filks, partially because we’re nerds but mostly because we want to get famous on the Internet.
Caspian has gained 5 oz. since we got him, and he’s noticeably taller (to us) than he was when we brought him home. Hopefully he won’t grow up to be a giant, but then again I don’t think that will really be a problem. I just hope he doesn’t teach himself to jump onto the lower shelf of the coffee table and nibble the books.

it was fun! However, we DID see you in Houston in July when we came through on vacation. You were really busy and Kory was in rehearsals but we squeezed in a couple of meals.
I’m glad you got to come and Caspian is adorable.

Oh yeah, that’s right.
Well, it was the first time we came to Abilene since the wedding.
